Hike up Sir Cecil's Ride in Braemar Hill

Nature in Hong Kong is always surprisingly close to the heart of the city. Named after Hong Kong’s 17th governor, Sir Cecil’s Ride is an easy paved trail that links Wong Nai Chung Gap from the west over Causeway Bay to Mount Parker Road in Taikoo in the east. It’s about 8.5 kilometres in length, at just about two hours’ walking with exceptional views over Victoria Harbour along the way. Make it to the top at Braemar Hill or nearby Red Incense Burner Hill for unobstructed 180-degree views of the skyline that are especially glorious at sunset.

Take a taxi or green minibus number 25 to Braemar Hill bus terminus for a 10-15 minute hike to Red Incense Burner Hill and Braemar Hill Peak, directly accessing Sir Cecil’s Ride from there.
